Shameless Plug for everyone in Mt. Pleasant! April 13th and 14th, at 8pm in Theatre on the Side, is a weekend of comedy. Tickets are free and seating is limited so get there when the doors open at 7:30. "Words, Words, Words" "Milton, Swift, and Kafka are three monkeys in an experiment set out to prove the old adage that three monkeys typing into infinity will sooner or later produce Hamlet. "Your Mother's Butt" "It focuses on a therapist desperately searching for clues to help her seriously disturbed young patient. As the patient rattles on about shoes and belts, he recalls a dream he had about his mother and the therapist thinks she's got her answer." "The Original Last Wish Baby" "All of America is caught up in what may be the last wishes of a baby born without a heart, yet who continues to live. The mother goes on a special TV show with the baby so that everyone can hear its last wishes every night. The question of who is really alive and who isn't arises and takes the country by storm." "The Sandbox" "The play is an excoriating attack on the contemporary American family, represented by cartoonlike characters (Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma). Grandma is relegated to a sandbox, infantilized by her family, but still protesting her fate in remarkably graphic language." |

Here's a link to CM-Life's article on it. This show has some adult language, but is presentable to most audiences. |
