Getting paid for looking at pictures rules.

I once got paid $20 to play NES Donkey Kong. Well, everybody didn't get $20, only the person that got the highest score did. But it was sort of a given that I was going to get paid $20. They monitored my breathing and heart rate. It was supposed to last 15 minutes. At the end of the 15 minutes, I asked if I could keep playing just for fun, but they made me stop. I hadn't lost a life yet.

In the days of my youth, I attempted to set up a Star Wars tournament at the Malt Shop. Remember the old vector-graphics based game where you shoot tie fighters and then do the trench run at the death star? Damn, that was a fine game. Fat Sam didn't like the idea, though, probably because he was better at Arkanoid. Oh well. I had a high score on SW of 2,319,000 until he unplugged it and jacked up the difficulty. After that I couldn't beat the preset first place score. He also jacked the price to 50 cents, so I stopped playing. He did that to a lot of games I liked. They had some sort of welltris type game that I could play for hours on one quarter, so he raised the cost to 75 cents. Oh well.

I like galaga. Now theres a gam I can play for hours on end with one quarter. The closest one to me is at the movies. So sometimes I go to the movies dont see anything and just play galaga. Sad sap I am.
