How weird! I was watching The Woodright's Shop just last night and Roy Underhill was using a treadle lathe, and Sarah and I both wondered if I could build such a contraption. Looks doable. Thanks for the link! |

No, prob. Some of my ideas include replacing the sewing machine belt with some thick sisal and "toothing" the inside of the flywheel to save on purchasing headaches and increase overall durability. I'm also planning on dumping the spring on the tensioner in favor of a turnbuckle. |
