I got bronchitis and my daughter's in the hospital tonight with pneumonia. She's doing good, though. I'm theoretically over with it - at least I finished the antibiotic. I just got the cough medicine refilled, though. It's strong, yet tasty. It apparently contains a narcotic or something.

WARNING : SKIP THIS IS YOU ARE EASILY GROSSED OUT

I threw up last night, pretty violently, after taking my orange flavored cough medicine (I laid down too quickly afterward). Anyway, I must have gotten some of it up my nose because the phlegm I've been hacking up is clear yet I've had orange snot all day.

On a related note - the four humors of the body are bile, blood, phlegm and fart jokes.

That sucks about your daughter, I hope everything works out. I have thus far been lucky that none of my kids have earned an overnight stay at the hospital yet (knock on wood).

My favorite throw up story is when I had a kidney infection. I didnt even make it to the toilet. Afterwords I had to drive myself to the hospital and was admitted. The best part was that Ron had to clean up the mess.

I have to admit that, sometimes, I'm not certain I speak the same language as others who post to this site. Maybe it's just that MY definition of "best part" and YOUR definition of "best part" shall never bear even the faintest resemblance? However, the "best part" of just human's post WAS what came after the warning.

Quick update - Madeline was rediagnosed with bronchialitis, which is a viris, so it'll run its course on its own. We just drip saline down her nose and use a bulb to suction it out.

Also, the Dr thinks my snot (which is only the left nostril, mind you) is actually something to do with blood. But it was fricken YELLOW earlier today.

To clarify, snot from my right nostril is clear. Anything I hack up is clear. Snot from my left nostril is orange or yellow.

I ran across the "humors of the body" in an article and instantly thought of this. It's no wonder I couldn't remember the 4th humor - bile's on the list twice. Yellow bile, and black bile.

(Sometimes Google just sucks. If I search for 'humors of the body fart jokes' I'd expect this site to pop up on the top. But I had to use quotes "humors of the body" "fart jokes" and still this site was the second [of only two] sites listed.)
