I believe that calls for a poll of the best fake phone-book name.

I think the best thing about that picture is the stick of Secret that sitting on that box that says PARTY.

In a situation like that, you just can't afford to sweat.

Maybe the "strong enough for a man" comes in. I wondered if feminists refused to use it too because of the sexist implications of that slogan.

Terbium

I rather dislike feminists.

Zirconium

No, you dislike feminazis. You're ok with feminists.

Terbium

Is there a difference? I get blamed for things I didn't do and everything I say to them ends up being a sexist male chauvinistic comment somehow.

Lutetium

If you do a bit of reading on feminism, you may find yourself surprised. Of course, if you don't view yourself as a chauvinist, then you can count yourself proud to have peerage in a vast minority of men on Earth.

I believe this would qualify as femi-nazi.

Wasn't Hair and Handymen the sequel to Logjammin'?

When I get directions to your home address on maps.yahoo.com, the address comes up as the location of "Your Local Handyman." I just figured that the people at Yahoo know about you what I know, and thanks for all your handy help over the years!

"Men's Rights Organization?" *snicker* Okay.

Terbium

If there is a Female rights movement would it not make sense for a Male rights movement?

Hydrogen

I think that was called the American Revolution.

Male rights movement : Religious tradition

You should read some of the quotes on that page. There are a lot of women out there who think all men are rapists.

Zirconium

I think "a lot" should be revised to "a few" or maybe "some" or "a vast minority."

Hafnium
05/16/2007 @ 11:49:42 EDT

With a large enough sample, 'a lot' of something can be a vast minority.

"There are a lot of humans on the planet" is not proven wrong by pointing out that other animals vastly outnumber humans.

Lutetium

I am aware of what those women believe and I've read some of their books; however, they are as effective at convincing the rest of female humanity in the same way that Fred Phelps is effective in getting support from other Christians. But they are useful for getting the rest of us thinking. Anyway, many of those quotes are easily taken out of their original contexts.

That list: 33 people. Earth's population: 6+ billion. Thunderclese: FTW.

Hafnium
05/16/2007 @ 12:07:02 EDT

You know that isn't a complete list, right? That's just a sample.

Zirconium

I gotta revise my glancing at things.. I thought it said Thunderclese: WTF at first. However, I am all bout me being FTW.

"There are a lot of women out there who think all men are rapists."

The burden of proof on that statement falls on you. You've provided a list of 33 people. If it is a true 'sample', then it fails to disclose it's parameters. If it was "33/1000 people, when asked if all men are rapists, had this to say" then I'd say you had a sample, but really it's just a list of comtemporary quotes.

I would also compare your "sample" with the number of people that claim to have been abducted by UFO's, seen leprechauns, and talk to dead people (a.k.a. Bombjoy's personal "standard deviation" list). Within that context, there are considerably more anal-probees then "all men are rapist" feminists.

Well see it depends on what your definition of alot is. When looking at trucks you could say 20 is alot or houses you own 3 is alot. Alot like infinity is subjective therefore can not be proven true or false.

Zirconium

I just looked up "alot" on Webster's website.. and it couldn't find it. However, "a lot" was in first place.

Lutetium
05/16/2007 @ 13:22:59 EDT

However, Derf, in the scope of Americans being able to participate in democracy, the number of women who are as radical as the sample suggests aren't even concentrated enough to influence the politics of a little place like Mt. Pleasant, MI- let alone the entire country. To assume that they could somehow grow powerful enough without extreme scrutiny and then take away "male rights" would be tantamount to paranoid hand-waving. You have nothing to worry about; please, rest easily.

Terbium
05/16/2007 @ 14:20:24 EDT

Im not worried. Never said I was. I just dont like them. BTW I thought it was a lot however that just didn't look right to me for whatever reason. Stupid mind and its confounded games.

Hydrogen

I've always spelled it "alot" and pronounced it with a quasi-French type of "a-low" thing.
