If you're going for that authentic arcade cabinet look, you just need plywood (or glue-on fake wood finish), some glue, and some nails. They don't have this fancy pants New Yankee Workshop stuff.

I agree, however, I do believe he is trying to make me a new kitchen drawer.

Isn't he going to spend more money trying to make a new one rather than buying one?

Screw that dovetail. Just butt-joint it and run 5 or so screws & some glue into 'er. If that don't hold, add some 14-gauge steel angle stock and 2-part marine grade epoxy.

But dovetails are so classy.

If you want a good set of chisels, I recommend Two Cherries. I plan to get at least two or three Lie-Nielsen's... I hope... one day when I'm all grown up...

You can't work on a Finley sprinkler-head with a Langstrom 7-inch Gangler wrench!

Norm Abrams wouldn't use dovetails, he'd use biscuits.. and lots of them.

Ahem, Josh-

Volume fourteen of the Kinsley manual clearly states that "The Langstrom 7 inch wrench can be used with the Finley sprocket."

It says "socket", not "sprocket"!
