Heh... Captain Feathersword, huh? Heh... Sounds like someone Michael Jackson would be best friends with.

Zirconium
11/05/2004 @ 15:53:37 EST

At least the Amish gave you a barn, all they gave me was a shovel of horse crap and a handfull of wheat... wait.. no FABombjoy gave me the wheat.

Hydrogen
11/05/2004 @ 15:55:32 EST

It's "Captain Feathersword", not "Ass of twelve-year-old boy".

Hydrogen

Thunderclese, not only are you the thread killer, but you're also the mass poster. I think you build them up in your mind for a week and then get on and do a brain dump. Which is cool.

Zirconium
11/05/2004 @ 16:07:11 EST

Actually its more like, I temporarily forget to travel to the site and then I come by and there's 3 new posts so I figure, hey, time to have my say on all of them.

Lutetium

LOL

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:39:48 EST

Hey.. stop it FABombjoy.. you're doing that thing with the spamming whatnot that you were tellin me about the other day.. the one where people post with no contribution, just crap like LOL. You're tarnishing my fair name. hehe.

Lutetium

No I'm not, and you're a retard.

LOL (I'll weeetarded you!)

Lutetium

I wonder if Ron coded anything in that breaks long conversations up into seperate pages.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:46:05 EST

Probably not.

Lutetium

Wow, what a day that was!

Zirconium

I think it was Cinncinatti or something.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 15:47:32 EST

Yes, that sounds familiar. Boy howdy, that was sumthin else.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:48:03 EST

No kidding. We never did hit the 25 limit with that though. I had to go back to make it 21 a week after it was off the main page.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:49:06 EST

That is, if 25 is some sort of limit.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 15:49:24 EST

I'm thinking about buying this thing. Mainly because it reminds me of this thread.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 15:50:13 EST

Aww, what the heck! Stupid home depot web site.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:50:27 EST

We need to have something coded so that links come up in popup windows.. I like it when that happens so I dont have to go back to this page, I can just tab over to it.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 15:51:05 EST

To complete the joke, the product in question was a Toro leaf blower/vacuum. Read between the lines for the humor.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:51:10 EST

A deck?

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:51:47 EST

Oh wait.. a leaf blower, nevermind.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 15:52:35 EST

Yeah, cause they want to charge me $75 to remove the already-rakes leaves from the front lawn. I mean, WTF is up with that? I'm buying a damn $60 leaf vacuum and doing it myself. Those bastards.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:53:08 EST

What a bunch of jerks.. I think we just broke the 25 barrier.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 15:53:54 EST

HOLY SMOKES! Has anyone ever crossed the great 25 message barrier? I believe that you and I are true pioneers!

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:54:10 EST

I guess this is what happens when I run out of thinks on Fark to read.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:54:49 EST

I agree.. we are pioneers.. not unlike Daniel Boon and Davey Crocket and Tubbs.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 15:57:14 EST

OK, but you get to be Tubbs. I want to be called "Grand Maestro von der zerquetschende Berg, Gott mögen Person" or "Phil" for short.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 15:59:09 EST

Was Tubbs the black guy? I never watched Miami Vice.. it was too adult for me.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:00:24 EST

I think so. He was a real cool cat that had ALL the moves. Something that most people don't know is that he had a peg leg.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:01:20 EST

BTW: I made up the peg leg part, and "Tubbs" was actually "Harriet Tubman", chief engineer of the underground railroad.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 16:01:26 EST

Screw that, I don't want no wooden leg. I'll be Tom Magnum instead.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 16:04:23 EST

Man, if I had mad photoshop skillz, I'd photoshop up something with Davey Crocket and Harriet Tubman now.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:04:27 EST

Ok, I'll be "Tomas Magnesium" instead (pronounced as "toe-maz"), and part of our TV series will revolve around a reoccurring joke whereby people get the two of us confused for somewhat obvious reasons. However, the confused people always feel dumb upon discovery of the fact that one of us is a 6'4" Russian baseball player for the Moscow Red Devils, and the other of us is a can of sardines.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:05:39 EST

...But a talking can of sardines so people don't know that over the phone, but they continually inquire as the reason the call sounds "so hollow, like a long hallway"

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 16:07:35 EST

Ok, but only if the baseball player either says "RRRRRR!!" or Yakov Smirnoff Jokes all the time.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:08:56 EST

It's difficult to imagine that Smirnoff's highly-dated schtick still works in Missouri. Actually, if you've ever been to Missouri, it's not so hard to believe.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 16:10:09 EST

Maybe its like he's some sort of car crash that people can't take thier eyes off of. I tell ya this, if I was on Branson, I'd go see Yakov.. but then again, from what I understand of Branson, he's probably the only act I'd be remotely interested in.

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 16:13:05 EST

And according to his guest appearance on King of the Hill a few seasons ago, he gave up the Russian bit and does comedy about things he observes in society.. so maybe he's not TOO dated.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:13:34 EST

Just don't get lost and end up in Bronson, MO.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:14:55 EST

Following up the last post, I've never actually seen a Charles Bronson movie. I only know he's famous for the "no dice" line. I remember passing by "Missing in Action" and "Missing in Action 2" many times at the video store, usually on my way to rent "My Science Project" or "Solarbabies" or "The Last Starfighter".

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 16:17:38 EST

I thought Missing in Action was a Chuck Norris series.. or maybe its just been too long.

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:18:31 EST

Was it? I think you're right

Zirconium
11/08/2004 @ 16:19:37 EST

Yup.. just checked IMDB.. Chuck Norris as Col. James Braddock. BRADDOCK!!!!!

Lutetium
11/08/2004 @ 16:19:43 EST

Hydrogen

As you can see, my code does not break up long messages into multiple pages. I do this so that I don't have to kill so many virtual trees. We all need to do our part to make sure the digital environment stays balanced and healthy.

Zirconium

Yeah.. esp in the 90s.. where they're all pink after being faded for 10 yrs.

Oh hey Ron, glad you could join us. Hop on in; the water is still pretty warm.... ahhh..... now it's warmer.

You know, one feature I'd like to see on bbcode (or related) boards is a special icon. You've got the typical 'read, unread, sticky' etc. icons, but I want to see one that's a picture of Jesus walking out of a cave for those threads that are like 2 years old that some jerk bumped with a "LOL" or "is this still available" or some other such nonsense.

Hydrogen

Yeah, I was thinking about resurrecting it for Halloween after I saw the title again, but I figured if I waited that long, I'd forget about it.

Thinking of features, maybe you should add something in the profile that indicates the number of posts people have put on the website and have a ranking that says "Number of people who love this website more than [soinso]:"

Or have like in most message boards certain rankings as in:

0-10 posts = Scott Baio
11-50 posts = Corey Haim
50-100 posts = Corey Feldman

And so on...

So judging by the begining of this thread, useless spamming (with the sole point of getting a higher post-stat) is ok, right?

Lutetium

No, this thread represented a scientific test.

b. I've already posted near the end meaning -
c. I've already read the stupid thing at least once.
