Monkeys don't make them because they'd have no place to plug them in.. ya know.. in the jungle. Plus they've already figured out how to glow in the dark.

your apartment wouldn't feel like home to me without that lamp. Most ergonomics sites I've read say that indirect lighting is best for computers, to avoid a direct glare from the monitor. I took a torchiere lamp and removed one of the sections so I could put it on my desk.

I didn't say I was going to get rid of the lamp, just that it wasn't working and I either need to get another one or fix that one. As for the indirect lighting, I usually use the computer at night, so the sun is pretty indirect, so ergonomically speaking, I'll live forever.

Chevy Chases's movie "Modern Problems" is sort of a handbook on becoming bioluminescent. You'll have to follow behind a leaking tanker truck filled with nuclear waste, tho.
