I'm happy that hockey is back. Unfortunately... I'm not happy that we moved from a hockey loving state to a state that doesn't have a single cable channel that plays any games... unless we were to subscribe to the highest cost premium channels. They have one channel.

Fricken... fracken...

Gah... I feel Kansas will continue to be the bane of my life.

It was a great season opener. Wings over Blues 5-1.

Although, I did spend most of the game leaning toward the screen and yelling at no one in particular, "Who the **** is that guy?!" Especially when Leboa scored from almost the blue line.

Yeah, I'd hear names and think "Isn't he a Wing?" or "Isn't he a car salesman?" or something along those lines. It was pretty crazy.

I don't think Lebda is a wing. the Redwings web site says he's on defense.

Man, I simply asked him what kind of a name "Lebda" was. And I called his mom a hooker. Why get defensive? Honestly.

Please remember that we're talking about a sport of foreign origin. From this point forward, please spell 'defense' properly as 'defence'. Any references to removing a fence, formerly 'defence' should be updated accordingly as 'unfence'.

i think lebda is northern european, although no particular nationality. it's from an old tutonic word for unwanted child of a prostitute.

check out some info about him on this site:

ten points if you can spot the oddity.
