To braid hair: clicky. After you master those, I'll direct you on further braids. Do NOT make her wear pants under her dress. You will scar her. Tights are amazingly warm. If she's cold she'll tell you at the end of the day and you can make a mental note of weather for future reference. ALways check the daily forecast, it'll give you a clue what to dress her in. Also, ask her what she wants to wear; she's a big kid now. ("Mommy, Wow!") And finally, her underwear. The front is shaped as such. Notice that the back where the butt goes is bigger than the front. Common sense there. All else fails, ask Sarah to write "back" on each tag so you can get it straight. The last thing your little one wants is a frontal wedgie with no means to fix it since Dad decided to put pants on under her dress. Hope this helps! |

Thanks, Ashley. That helps. I'll just have to practice the braiding, if that's what they want. About the underwear, though. It's not that I can't eventually tell which way is front, it just seems there's more to it than necessary, and I was hoping for a secret code. Maybe I'm not worthy. |

You could always pin the hair back in barretts and then use a pair of scissors to trim off the loose follicles. Of course, she would be bald in a week, but BAM! instant uniformity!

I was a bit concerned about bringing up images of little girl's underwear. I'm thinking I need to purge my cache a few times and run a bit shredder, just to be sure. |

A secret code? |
Zirconium 10/13/2005 @ 13:09:31 EDT |
Yes.. a secret code.. like Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right-B-A-B-A Start. That'll give him 20 extra tries at getting the hair thing right b4 getting them off to school. |

Tights ARE warm, if you get the warm kind. Most little girl tights ARE the warm kind, so it's pretty easy. She may especially like the ones with designs. I recommend them myself :) (Note to self: Brianna gets warm tights for the winter holidays) The braiding... it's easy once you get the hang of it, which I'm sure you will. A couple lessons and you'll be a pro. As for the underwear... you'll figure it out. ;) |

I don't wear underwear, just so I don't have the problem of where the hole should or shouldn't be. I think both kids should have a mohawk. Or two. |
Zirconium 10/20/2005 @ 12:34:09 EDT |
Mohawks are cool.. |

Rachel had a mowhawk because her hair didn't come in evenly. |
