I'm proud - I actually googled my way to your tech/teen site. Whee!

Google's slurped it up already? I haven't even really advertised it anywhere. Is there nothing that little search engine can't do?

It made me waffles today.

So no.

By the way, what is the url for the teen site?

Hydrogen
11/28/2005 @ 11:12:02 EST

You have to be a geeky teen in an organization to know what the URL is.

Yep. Geeky teen. Geekyteen. In an ORGanization. Indeed.

I've never seen a search engine turn someone into waffles before. How long is the recovery period for that, Josh?

Uranium

What recovery period?

Actinium

You mean you're still waffles?

You haven't seen those Eggo waffle commercials? That's no costume.

The e-mail exchange, in case you're interested.

i checked out the geeky teen site. is this meant to be for a particular class? your wife's perhaps? anyway, it is interesting reading the way kids type. it is bad.

Originally it was designed for Sarah's classes so she had a means of communication during her leave, but then we thought it would be nice to open it up to be a general teen community.

And, yes, I have to slog through all the "omfg lol!!!11!1!" posts every day.

Yeah, I think Sarah needs to teach typing too.. and I really dig this post by one of the kids hehe.

You were far too polite. I would have burned that kid to the ground. Then again, if I had to moderate a teen forum, I'd have chewed my fingernails to the bone and then burned the site to the ground. Especially after reading the game system thread.

My goal was to be the adult. It was tough for me, but I think I faked it pretty well.

Lutetium

That exchange is wonderful- splendid evidence against 'No Child Left Behind'.

Terbium

I am sadened. Why must you be fake? Sure you were the adult but you can insult me. I can take it. However you are by far the coolest adult I know. Well maybe not more than Mrs Martin, but thats kinda hard to decide.

Not sure I was being fake, really, just cautious. To make a decent teen site, not only does one have to appeal to teenagers, but also make parents feel comfortable. It's a tough line to balance on.

Terbium
12/04/2005 @ 20:53:09 EST

Oh I see. I thought what was going on was that I insulted you, which in hindsight I may have, but I didnt meant to, and you were saying you were faking your kindness towards me, rather than burning me to the ground with your holy powers.

Careful, dude. He'll holy you right outta existance.

Uranium
12/05/2005 @ 17:13:47 EST

It's "wholly", not "holy".

Unless you were going for a pun, which then it's just "not funny".

Terbium
12/05/2005 @ 17:44:01 EST

Not so sure I understand. Then again I don't think I'm supposed too. I'm just a kid. Why is it wholly wouldnt that mean to be a greater whole. I was rather meaning like powers to smite and such.

maybe he saw your other grammar and spelling mistakes and just assumed holy was one more.

or maybe he was trying to emulate your unique writing style by incorporating his own mistakes.

Terbium

That was low. While I agree with you on my grammer. I would have to say that my spelling is more than adequate and not needing to be made fun of. Man how did this turn into me defending myself. Then again I did tell Mr. Ron he could insult me and that I could take it. Interesting. Hmmm I wonder am I the only teen on here? And thank you my style is unique where. As in I type what I think and that does not always fit the perfect structure for a sentence.

I was pointing out Thunderclese's usage of the term "holy".

By the way, your more than adequate spell check missed "grammar".
