Hey, all. I am now the owner of a blue 2004 Honda Accord LX. After much research, test driving, more research, and spitting in the face of death while driving the Forester, I finally decided that this was the right car for me.
While I'm sitting here enjoying a Guinness, I have begun to consider my weight gain over the past few weeks. Since I've moved, I've been eating out more, and typing doesn't burn the calories as effectively as I would hope. I'm not a huge sack of lard; I'm more like a plastic baggie of lard. Once the baggie is full, it's time to start filling another one. As these baggies accumulate, one runs out of room to store them. Eventually, they find their way into a plastic grocery bag or a box that used to contain some small appliance. This box gets put either up in the rafters of the garage or on a shelf in the basement. Since I have a Michigan basement, I would opt to store this box in the rafters of the garage. But, what's this? There's no room because I've put the high chair, Christmas tree, and assorted baby items up there. No problem. I'll just get another sheet of plywood and lay it up in the rafters, expanding my storage "real estate" by about about 64 square feet. Of course, I'll have to borrow a ladder from either Rich or my dad, and the plywood may not fit as-is in the rafters, so I'll have to cut it a bit. So you see, if I lose a little bit of weight now, I could save myself a lot of time and work later.
