Dishwasher

The dishwasher is broken. The little flappy thing that holds in the soap doesn't open any more. So now we're doing the dishes by hand and using the dishwasher as an elaborate drying rack. It may be possible to repair, but the thing is pretty old, so we might just replace it. In all honesty, it takes about the same amount of time to wash the dishes as it does to rinse them off and load them into the dishwasher, so maybe I'll just replace it with a keginator.

A few months ago I cleaned the whole thing with vinegar to remove the mineral deposits that were caked on to every square inch of the interior. There were mining operations going on and it was keeping me awake at night, so I had to do something. After I got done, I realized that some of the components weren't supposed to be white. All of our dishes are stained by this stuff, too. I soaked them in vinegar as well, which does a fantastic job, by the way. Just use white vinegar. And don't dip your fried fish in it while you're soaking your dishes.

If we do get a dishwasher, I'm going to have someone install it for me. Not that I can't do it, but I just won't have the time. I actually enjoy doing stuff like that, but at this stage in my life I'm better off paying for someone else to do it. The handyman in me threw a fit, so I told him to go stand in the corner until he can behave. What a little brat.

Enough about dishwashers. I'm trying to come up with a new strip for the group comics. I'm also trying to come up with a better design for the archive interface. Any input you can give me would be appreciated.
