Are you tired of your demands to God not being met in a timely fashion? Then you haven't tried Prayer Rug! This fashionable rug, distrubuted via mail by Saint Matthew's Churches, promises God's blessings upon your home and family. It's quick, easy, and fun!
Y.G. was blessed with over $46,000 after using Prayer Rug. L.B. says "God blessed us with $10,700. [My husband] went out and bought us a car..." But wait! There's more! You can demand the Lord bless you in many of these following areas:
- Your health
- A new car
- A particular sum of money
- High school diploma
- TV/VCR Repair
- A home
- A job
What are you waiting for? Expect God's blessing! Use Prayer Rug now!
Okay, seriously, I received a "prayer rug" in the mail. Everything about it is comical yet vulgar. The rug is a piece of paper, a little larger than legal size, with what looks to be (oddly enough) an Islamic prayer rug printed on it, but with the visage of Jesus Christ in the middle. The image of Christ has an optical illusion that makes it appear as though his eyes are opening as you stare at them. At the bottom are these words: "Look into Jesus' Eyes you will see they are closed. But as you continue to look you will see His eyes opening and looking back into your eyes. Then go and be alone and kneel on this Rug of Faith or touch it to both knees. Then please check your needs on our letter to you. Please return this Prayer Rug. Do not keep it." The letter to me includes such gems as "Timing is important to God" and "These dear people are receiving so many blessings that it is impossible to mention them all in a letter" and, best of all, "God's holy blessing power is in the enclosed anointed prayer rug we are loaning you to use!!!"
The message is simple. Prayer gets you what you want. Expect God's blessing. No, not as in "anticipate". Demand. New car? Pray. Money? Pray. I'm looking through the items you can request in the checklist, and I see money, a new car, a job, confusion in my home (WTF?), etc. I fail to see "ask forgiveness" or "give thanks". I may not be an ultra-religious person by any stretch of the imagination, but I would think that those two items would be the only ones on the list. Am I wrong here? It's "ministries" like these that just completely boggle my mind.
