I'm updating in the morning today. Too tired last night. That's my excuse. Deal.
So, Tuesday we had a guy come and give us an estimate for a roof. Like the other folks that came to give an estimate, he climbed the roof and looked in the attic and walked around the house to assess the needs. Unlike the others, however, he spent four hours doing his sales pitch. Sure, we bought the roof from him, but it was more of the product and warranties and everything than it was the salesmanship. Don't get me wrong, the guy was very personable, but he just would not get to the damn point.
We also had to watch this ridiculous video while he "filled out some paperwork" or something. It featured a computer animated nail with eyes and a moustache that spoke in a falsetto that reminded me of Mr. Hanky. There was some sort of discount we got if we watched it, but now I'm not sure if it was worth it.
We should have a new roof in a couple of weeks. Maybe I'll do before and after pics, giving me something mildly interesting to post.
