I don't typically like to talk about work, but I did want to mention that I was given the Employee of the Year award for 2006 today. Huzzah! I have a glass plaque with my name etched in it and everything. It's a great honor and I'm very proud to have earned it.
On a less schmaltzy note, we're getting new windows for the house. No, not Vista. The general consensus among the various window merchants that came by is that the current windows were installed incorrectly. Sweet. Seems to be a running theme with this house. Don't quite know what the previous owners were thinking. Sure, I love do it yourself type of shit, but I know what my limits are. If I have a leak under the sink, I can fix it. If that leak somehow compresses matter into a singularity, I know I'd probably better call Stephen Hawking. And he'd be all bent over under my sink, ass crack showing and everything, and he'd say, in his HERO JR voice, "WELL HERE'S YOUR PROBLEM. YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PIPE DOPE ON THIS CONNECTION. HELP ME. I'M BEING SUCKED IN. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA." And then I wouldn't have to pay him.
