Well, hey. We have another week ahead of us. And another week behind us. And there's another week to the side of us. And here's another week to the other side of us, with the Spanish Inquisition hiding behind some bushes. I had a very relaxing weekend. It was also very snowy. In fact, on Saturday I thought to myself "I wish it were nice, then we could go to the zoo." Then I happened to recall almost immediately what happened the last time we went to the zoo the day before Easter. Glad I didn't have to relive that nonsense.
The Easter Bunny brought some stuff for the kids. Brianna got a cheap set of card games. This set included Crazy Eights, Old Maid, and Go Fish. The Go Fish deck had an extra card in it, so your odds were better of getting a matching set of Manta Rays than anything. The cards are weird, because the face of them is glossy, but the back is just raw cardboard. Also, some of the figures on the Old Maid deck are rather suggestive. And one of them looks like it should be on Family Guy. It's rather weird, and I'll try to get them scanned and posted for your pleasure.
Alex got into his sisters' candy and ate plenty of jelly beans. He was a spirited boy the rest of the morning. Then he took a good nap. We don't typically let the kids have much candy, so today was a bit of a freaky day for them, nutrition-wise. I mean, we didn't shove candy down their throats, but we weren't as aggressive with our fruits and whatnot.
Well, that's all I have. Hope you had a great Easter, if you're into that sort of thing. Discuss what you did over the weekend. Or what you plan to do this week. Or how your chief weapon is surprise. Surprise and fear.
Later.
