My weekend was pretty productive. I made a shelf thingy for the bathroom that is now hanging over the toilet. Looks pretty nice, but it's a lot bigger than I had anticipated. That's a strange thing to say, considering I cut all the wood to exact, predetermined dimensions. I did get to utilize several tools, and I'm pretty happy with accomplishing that in just a weekend.
I also mowed the grass. After all the rain this past week, it had grown very shaggy. It's looking nice now. Instead of cutting perpendicular or parallel to the road, I cut the front lawn at an angle, like some sort of lawn snob. I think lawns cut in unconventional patters just look nicer. I dunno. The backyard I just cut haphazardly. It's the Jackson Pollack of lawn jobs. Phooey.
I've purchased the buttons that I'll be using for the coin buttons for my MAME machine. They'll do nicely. I wired them up and they work great. Joy!
Soon I'll be making the actual body of the cabinet. As soon as I find the camera I'll take a picture of what I have now. I'll also take a picture of this shelf thingy that is surprisingly large.
This morning we went to the zoo with NetGoddess and her clan. They've also put an offer on a house that is close to my house. Yippee to the possibility of having friends live nearby once again!
That's all the writing for which I have energy. How was your past few days?
