It keeps snowing here. I don't want to shovel anymore. Sarah did a bit of it today, so I'm thankful for that, but it's really just getting old. If you have any control over the weather and are reading this now, then I submit that you should stop lest you be known as a cruel monster for all your days.
We're brewing another beer. Actually, we're brewing two more beers, a stout and a porter. I've put a beer photo album on line. Homebrewing is proving to be quite an enjoyable hobby, and I recommend it to anyone that enjoys beer and doesn't mind giving up a Saturday to sit around and drink beer while making beer.
I've been showing the kids a number of Rube Goldberg machines on YouTube. This has inspired Brianna to join the science fair this year. She wants to build one of her own and demonstrate it. I've made her memorize the six simple machines, as I figure she should probably learn something. She now has to draw up some plans for what she wants. I'll go over them with her, and I'll let her build what she wants with some trial and error. I don't want to be the type of parent that does all the work on some elaborate project, so I'll make her write everything and build the project with help only when she really needs it. I hope she's up to the challenge.
