Ron's Brain

As clever as a ham faucet.

I've been very busy recently with work. That has slowed down now. Not because I've lost my job, it's just the natural ebb and flow of things. I've been mentally exhausted for several weeks, but I took a short vacation and Sarah and I sent the kids to my mom's for a few days and we just kicked back. It was very nice and I think I needed it.

Brianna is getting old enough to start playing games at a more strategic level, which is nice. We've been playing dots and boxes and she enjoys it, and I like watching her think through the game and try to make the best moves. She shows an interest in chess, but has a hard time keeping track of the movement rules. That will come with practice. I'm also very fond of go, but don't play it often, so that might be a game we explore together.

I've been playing around with SketchUp and I really like it for creating woodworking plans. I've designed a workbench with it. The bench will collapse to a depth of about ten inches when not in use, allowing us to park our cars in the garage. Once I finalize the design I'll post it on Google's 3D Warehouse so you can see it.

That's all for now. If you feel I have forgotten anything important, apologies in advance and please take the opportunity to mention it in the comments.
